This site is basically an online diary of birds seen on Whalsay in the Shetland Islands. Current news, with tales of past rarities and a few photographs thrown in. Thanks to Brian Marshall, Jon Dunn and Jason Atkinson for the use of their pics. My own efforts can be  identified by their lack of quality but I hope to improve eventually. Thanks also to my son Rory for typing up most of the text.
